This client loves tea and had a box full of the little packets. But it was hard to see and find what she wanted. So we took everything out and sorted it into categories. She tossed a bunch that she had bought to try but didn’t actually like. We tossed a bunch of the bulky packaging, but some of the boxes were a good size so we cut off the tops for easy access while still keeping things stacked nicely and separated.
My main mantra is: Use what you have. You don’t need to buy a bunch of expensive organizing gear. Even if it’s so pretty. Most of the time you can make what you already have, work just fine.
What other small things do you have in your house that you can apply this principle to?
