Now is a great time to clean out your fridge and freezer. With everyone trying to eat healthily, it’s a great time to start fresh. Things can get lost in the back or misplaced and forgotten about. Also, there are always more crumbs and spills than you thought.
Cleaning out and organizing your fridge or freezer actually takes less time than you think it will. At least that’s how I feel. I dread it and put it off until it gets gross. But it’s never as bad as I think it will be. I enlisted my kids (ages 7 & 9) to help empty everything. They loved it. They put things into the categories that I told them, while I wiped down the shelves. Then we put it all back.
I didn’t want to spend anything on containers so I used old shoe boxes and white paper to keep various categories together. Even though they are cardboard they do well in the freezer as long as the freezer door doesn’t get left open.
