Now that some states are starting to lift restrictions on quarantine and kids are finishing school, what things have you used during this “downtime”.
- Were you able to read that book or magazine?
- Did you start or complete that craft or project?
- Did your family play with that toy or game?
- Did you watch that DVD?
This has been a really unique opportunity to slow down, be with our families, and see what we really care to spend our time doing in our homes. If you found that you never made the time to use something that you thought you wanted to use, maybe it was merely aspirational and not realistic for you. Now you know with certainty that you will not use that thing and can donate it without reservations.
I thought I would be able to organize in my home, but after helping my kids through virtual school each day I had no energy to start any additional projects. I didn’t even do anything on my Quarantine Bingo sheet. And that’s ok, there’s a time and a season for everything. Instead, we went on a lot more hikes than we normally do.
Now that my kids are out of school I have so much more energy and motivation to work on projects.
What has your family started using because of quarantine? What did you think you would use but haven’t? I’d love to know, leave a comment.
