This client’s pantry is tiny, ridiculously tiny. So they updated part of their garage to function as an overflow pantry. They took out the shelving unit that was there and built shelves.
They did use some products like the rolling can holders for the cans they use the most often, but she didn’t need one for every kind of can. Also, putting cardboard on top of the can organizers creates another shelf in the space.
We sorted the types of food and created a category for the gluten-free items. Now there is no mistaking what was safe to eat for different members of the household. Extra bulk items like rice and sugar we stored in the white buckets on the floor.
It doesn’t look Pinterest Perfect, but when you have limited space and can’t afford to drop $1,000 on new products you get scrappy and make it work. Getting a few key organizing products can make a difference. But make sure you are getting what will really work for you and not just what you’ve seen online.
