I was listening to Gretchin Rubin’s podcast “More Happier” episode 4, and they talked about how you shouldn’t be saving things forever. And if you’re saving something you might be wasting it.
Think about china dishes. What are you saving them for? They were made to be used, not to sit in a cupboard. I encourage people all the time to use their things. If you’re not going to use it then don’t keep it.
This can apply to many things in our homes: clothes, shoes, stationery, that fancy candle that smells so good. It might lose its smell. It might go out of style, it might not fit. Whatever it is, it could be wasted if you never use it.
My challenge to you is to use that thing that you’ve been saving. Use what you have or donate it so someone else can use it. Things were made to be used.
Let me know in the comments what you’re going to stop saving and instead use. You can read more about this mindset Abundance Mindset and Make Space for Things that are Important to You.
