Must have the Precious!
Every parent has seen this look in their child’s eyes at least once.
Actual Conversation between my daughter and I:
Me: Why do you have bark from the playground in your special box?
Daughter: It’s my wood chips family! I love them!
Me: What?!?!
We may not understand why something is important to our child, but as long as it is not living and fits in their special box, then who cares. Each person should have a Special Box for things that are important to them no matter what anyone else thinks.
When the box is full they can go through everything in it and decide what is important and what can go, in order to make room for new things.
