When we’re talking about organizing I often hear people bemoan the lack of organization in the people around them without recognizing their own contribution to the problem.
The truth is we can all do better. When we focus on getting our stuff under control it makes a huge difference in the home.
Really try to figure out why are you having trouble getting organized:
Is it time?
Is it habits?
Do you have too much stuff?
Is the stuff sentimental?
Is it overwhelming to start?
Where in your house is the hardest to organize?
Is it flat surfaces?
Is it closets?
Is it clothes?
Is it decor?
Is it paper?
What can you do today to reverse the trend of clutter in your home? Take 5-10 minutes right now, and do something to declutter and get organized.
Now is always the best time to start. And like my mom always said, “Starting is the hardest part!”
